I found out at an early age that I had the ability to draw funny pictures and make people laugh. I also enjoyed writing stories to go along with my varied casts of crazy cartoon characters. Over time, if you keep at something, you find that you get better and better at it. It has been a long while since I picked up that first pencil and began putting things down on paper. To this day, it still amazes me that what I can see finished and complete in blazing color in my minds eye, gets translated from the brain, down the arm to the fingertips and is released out into to the world on the printed page.

A cartoonist friend of mine was asked once " How long did it take you to draw that picture? " His reply' ...about 20 years". We all have the ability to keep learning and growing every day of our lives. Then one day, all of a sudden, what was once something of a labor to create became a labor of love, without conscious thought.
It just spills out onto the page, as if it was already there, hiding just beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered.

You will all find something in your lives that you really like doing and if you put in the time and work hard at it, the world will open up and greet you with open arms. I hope you continue to enjoy my wild and wacky scribbles that still seem to flow like a river. "Where do you get your ideas?" is a common question I am asked. If I knew that, I'd be there right now!

As for my personal side, I was born Jeff Sinclair in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on April 1, 1958, the consummate fool from the start. I grew up in Paradise, the west coast of Canada in Surrey, British Columbia. I went to Riverdale Elementary School, Mary Jane Shannon Junior High School and North Surrey Senior High School. The motto at North Surrey was " ...It's only raining on the outside." It rains a lot in Vancouver you see. You learn to not notice it. It amazes me how many people in Vancouver don't own an umbrella. But the green of the land and the freshness of the air make up for it all.

I live with my wife Karen, a CGA and aspiring writer. My son Brennan is an up and coming Singer/Songwriter and recent Abbotsford Idol winner. My daughter Conner is also a gifted singer and dancer. Molly is our Golden Lab, currently on a weight loss program. Vinny is our Golden retriever and will only answer to the name "Big and Handsome." Abby is our part Burmese flop cat. She is very calm and loves to roll around our front porch on beautiful sunny mornings. She is a hunter of all things large and small.

We recently moved to the East side of Abbotsford to a Cape Cod style house on a mountainside. We have deer in the neighborhood, so flowers are always on the breakfast menu. I have added several birdhouses and feeders for the wide variety of feathered friends that drop by. The Stellar's Jays love to deplete the peanut feeder as soon as it is refilled. I am planting new things to attract hummingbirds and butterflies. The world stops for me when a butterfly enters the yard and flutters by. It's the most peaceful thing I know of in this often chaotic world.
