I sent out illustration sample packets to about 30 publishers. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed while I get some more addresses.

Gregory, thanks for the welcome. As I am barely able to draw stick figures I appreciate artists immensely. I glanced at your gallery and your illustrations are very cool. I especially like the whale.

Thank you for your comment, Gregory. You have some really great illustrations! I like the whale the best! Your stuff feels very Nickelodeonish. (spellling?) It's fantastic!

Hey Gregory the new picture looks like part of the Lord of the Rings movies. But the only difference is that the people are not short and one of'm is an elf. Did you get you idea from the movies?

Hi Gregory! Welcome to the writing/illustrating world. I too, am a Graphic Designer. There's a lot of cross-over in these two fields, don't you think? I hope to illustrate one of my picture books some day but for now my head is wrapped around writing novels. Good luck to you.
Comment by Gregory Gunther on 4/14/2009 at 3:33 PM:
I need to work on doing more illustrations that include a whole scene and not just a isolated character. Plus do some in a sequence for storybooks. Better get to work. At least illustration is fun!

Thanks for the kind words about my art. Yes I still start with a pencil sketch and then I "paint" everything in Photoshop. I was trained traditionally as an airbrush artist, but digital is so much faster and not nearly so messy! Do you have a site?
Comment by Jose Pardo on 4/9/2009 at 12:34 PM:
Great Style, I like your latest, Talisman!
