I have been a commercial artist since the late 1970's, working mostly behind the scenes for ad agencies, producing comp art for print ad campaigns and storyboards for television commercials. This is still 95% of what I do today.

In 2008, I was discovered by the good people at Stone Arch Books, which is a division of Capstone Publishers located in Minnesota. I have illustrated seven books in their Library of Doom series, and have another four now out in the fall of 2009 for their Shade Book series.

This has been a nice diversion from the ad work I'm used to doing. Not only does it give me a chance to feature my more illustrative side, but I'm actually in print!

My imagery is influenced by my love of old B-Horror movies, vintage monsters and my love of surrealism. The illustrations for the children's books are more kid friendly while my personal work leans toward a darker and more anthropomorphic irrationality.
