Leanne McGinty is the award winning author of the children's book The Doll House. The Doll House was originally published in 1996. On April 13th of 1996, the 17 year old had a book signing at Lombardo's in Randolph, Massachusetts. On that day 197 books were sold. In attendance at the book signing were many friends and relatives and even Tim Cahill, who ran for governor of Massachusetts last year. The book signing was publicized in a two page article in the Patriot Ledger that displayed two full photograph's of Leanne. Following the book signing Leanne received a commendation from the city of Quincy, Massachusetts for publishing a book at such a young age.
