I love stories – writing them, reading them, creating them. These days I write for children and young adults. My fiction, both realistic and science fiction/fantasy, has been published in anthologies and magazines, and I’m currently working on a middle grade novel. I’ve also written and edited non-fiction books.

Many of my stories come from children I’ve known in and out of the classroom. I substitute teach in the public schools, work with English language learners, and do school visits and writing workshops. I also edit manuscripts by other writers. In past lives, I’ve worked as an editor, a journalist, an attorney, and a legal writer.

Here’s a little about two of the biographies I’ve done:
