Hello! My name is A.D. Smith and I am hoping to be known as children’s writer. I have been writing pretty much my entire life but never thought to pursue a career in writing. In college I took a plethora of writing and literature courses but not as a major, as electives. The first thing I ever wrote (at the age of 5) was a Valentine’s Day song that my dad set to music.

I live on Long Island with my husband and children. My son, Jonathan, is 9 and my daughter, Kaylie is 5. Like most moms in an effort to keep the babes quiet I would make up stories. Recently I decided to put my made up stories on paper, or rather into a computer document. After seeing those tangible words I decided to go a step further and publish my first book. That book was finally made available to the public in December of 2008. I have high hopes that you will see more of my work soon.
