VICTOR RAMON MOJICA was born and raised in Manhattan, New York, but has lived in the Hudson Valley region since 1986 and now resides in Craryville, New York with his wife Barbara.

Victor is an illustrator, cartoonist and writer with such works to his credit as the critically
acclaimed, comic book series eugenus® ... The Next Step In Human Evolution!, which he created, wrote and illustrated.

Victor started out in 1969 working nights as a mail clerk for the US Post Office. By day he promoted a portfolio of his artwork to art directors throughout the tri-state area. After 6 months he gained representation from an agency in NY, Craven & Evans, which launched Victor into the children's book market as an illustrator, but the recession of the 1970s proved a difficult time. In order to support himself and his growing family Victor obtained a job in 1975 with Polygram Records, NY, once again as a clerk. At Polygram he began a second career in the brand new field of computers. By 1990 he had gone from clerk to Computer Operations Manager. In 1990 Victor gained employment as an artist once more but this time for the WWF, World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE).

Other jobs followed, some in art and some in other professions, but Victor never let go of his artistic dreams and aspirations, to be an artist full time. Today he is. Most recently he was contacted by authors directly to illustrate their children's books: Johnny BIG-EARSTM The Feel Good Friend by John Paul Padilla, and The Sleepytown BeaglesTM Lemonade Stand by Timothy Glass. Currently he is writing and illustrating a cartoon strip he created back in the 1980s called Captain CrossbonesTM, and is now appearing in the The Columbia Insider (www.theColumbiaInsider.com), a bi-monthly local magazine in Columbia County, NY. It is edited and published by Pat Fisher and Ed Pollack.

Victor has now written and illustrated his first children's book titled Captain Crossbones(TM) in The Treasure Hunt, based on the strip appearing in The Columbia Insider. The book is now available on AMAZON.COM.

Victor is mostly a self educated artist with only two years of formal art training in college. He's currently writing a screenplay based of his comic book series eugenus® ... The Next Step In Human Evolution! His other interests include chess, board & video games, electronics, live theater, the movies, and cooking.
