Hello,
I am an illustrator looking to collaborate with an Author on my "Skinny girls" series. To date I have 5 copyright images and an outline for a story....I'd love to hear your ideas.

"SKINNY GIRLS"The story line is about Veronica a slightly heavy set girl and her school mates. They are school age YA children. The clothes are a school uniform or appropriate to the activity the are involved with. The skinny girls ( they still need names) are bullies and Veronica feels a great deal of peer pressure because she just does not quite fit in.Veronica is the sweatiest girl ever and is always hurt and taken back by the attitude of the skinny girls as a group....yet she is always game to try and be part of the group. As the story unfolds each skinny girl in turn has an event/ episode that lets them see the friendship being offered by Veronica. Each girl will learn separately the value of appreciating others for who they are. In the end Veronica will have created friends out of adversaries and will have acquired a great self esteem.I find many boys are great friends with girls that are not so skinny, so this is one area that Veronica has a bit of an edge, this could be one of the ways she can be of help to a skinny girl.Maybe each episode could be a chapter with one illustration at the beginning...or each episode could be a small book in the adventure series of "Veronica and the Skinny girls"?Artist Statement:"Illustrative painter celebrating life's gestures and emotions"IllustrationsDrawing and painting is the voice I use to share a story and explore the world we live in.My job as an illustrator is to tackle the challenge of acting as an interpreter to express a point of view, a topic, or issue creating a visual image or series of images to tell the story. I work in the traditional methods of drawing free hand and painting. This allows me the hands on interaction I need to express the emotions connected with the story being told.My range can be limitless only bound by imagination. PaintingsMy bold figurative works start with the faces. The faces express the emotion and interaction of the parties involved sharing an experience, moment, thought, or action............."Life".The paintings unfold as the caring supportive enveloping shapes intertwine and lead your eye from one area of the painting to another. While some of the sharper more angular shapes suggest motion and sometimes unrest.The simple directness of these compositions allows my story telling to take center stage. At other times I let the paint take me on a journey. I start these works with splashes of paint and water allowing the paint to solidify. From this point I re-enter the creative process by manipulating the image to form the final work of Art.Ideas and emotions are received from ones environment. An Artist opens themselves to feel and absorb this information. The creation of Art is the ability to edit and transform this raw material and then distribute it back to the environment from which it came. Each Artist edits this information in a different way; I am please to share with you my unique interruptions
