I've been burnt out for a year(EEK!) and only recently got back to my first love, writing for children. All at once a whole story just burst out and and now I'm back in the groove. Publishing-well that's another story. The publisher of my first book has disappeared into the woodwork, so I'm

As far as writers block, I found that if I'm still, meditate and write for me not for an audience, the words just flow. Just relax, the words will come.

What kind of books do you write? I can truly relate to the "writer's block"because not only do I have to have the story idea, but it has to rhyme (no pressure there!) Sometimes though, new ideas keep me awake at night until I get up and write them down! (rhymes going round and round... more

What kind of books do you write? I can truly relate to the "writer's block"because not only do I have to have the story idea, but it has to rhyme (no pressure there!) Sometimes though, new ideas keep me awake at night until I get up and write them down! (rhymes going round and round in your head....can be worse than an alarm clock!!!!) Hand held tape recorders are great for that....Most of my ideas come when I'm not able to write them down (like when I'm driving) Anyway, I wish you luck with your publishing search. Don't get discouraged though if you get rejections from the first tries. A very famous author I met once told me he had over 200 rejections before getting published....so keep trying!!!!. I had 37 rejections, but when I found a publisher, they published both my first two books at the same time....so it's just who you send your books to....unfortunately I am now looking for another publisher....mine went out of business after they published my third book (hopefully not because of me!) I wish you luck on your publisher search....I never heard of the one you mentioned but I see Jacket Flap has lots of publishers listed so just get busy and start sending them out :-)
