I use Acrylics but Dale uses windsor Newton water colors. But if you are just getting started make sure you get soem good water color paper as it is equally important as good water colors. Windsor Newton is a cheaper brand but we like it. You can also use liquid acrylics with the same technique as water color and it actually has a nicer effect.:) What are you painting?
