Hi Tamira! Thanks for the email. I commend you on pursuing your dream of becoming a published author. Since you're not in a position to invest in the production yourself, I would recommend that you look for publishers who have recently produced works similiar in style and content to your story. Go to Barnes & Noble and peruse the shelves. When you find books similiar to your book, make note of the title and the publisher. Then research the publisher's submission guidelines (usually available on the publisher's website), and follow them EXACTLY. Far too often, submissions are promptly rejected for no other reason than "it does not meet our submission requirements." Be persistent and keep the faith. Your break will come!
