Watch Brian Biggs draw the cover to his next book in the Everything Goes series: Everything Goes in the Air.
Bryce Wymer has a whole series of these time-lapse videos of him drawing and painting in his sketchbooks. It’s probably just for the videos, but I am impressed that the books don’t appear to move during filming.
Chuck Jones shows how to draw Bugs Bunny
Watch Marc Scheff paint a portrait of R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe.
Glennz Illustration Process - Defective (by Glenn Jones)
Watch Glenn Jones create one of his clever t-shirt designs in Illustrator. Am I seeing this correctly, and there’s no under-drawing being traced? Those are some vector skills at work.
Here is a great video of the process of making a (really big) linoleum block print. The artist is my mentor and friend, Bill Fick, and this is one of his signature style prints. Gorgeous!
Tony Riff (by itdrewitself)
A short but slick video of artist Tony Riff at work. I love to watch people draw, especially when photographed so nicely.
I was commissioned to draw a pinup for a great friend, Brad Duncan, but he couldn't decide what he wanted! He gave me a long list and I was supposed to pick just one to draw for him on my artcast. It was way too hard to pick just one so I narrowed it down to 3 and drew and colored them on my twice weekly show. He had the difficult task of choosing his favorite! Here's links to the two shows where these awesome girlies were brought to life! Show one and Show two
Here are the three girls I picked "Harley Quinn", "Nara Kilday" and "Huntress", he ultimately choose Huntress, but come on...who wouldn't? she's hot!
Wow it's been a few weeks since my last post and so much has happened it'll take me a few posts to catch you all up! First let me share an interview I did for an awesome fan and collector or sketch cards. Andrew has an great blog where he shares his love of everything...including sketch cards and awesomeness!
He asked me to answer 5 questions and to have some fun with it...well if you know me you know fun is my middle name! So here is my interview and some of my cute artwork. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed answering!
I drew these four sketch cards for an auction to support Shevacon
I'll be a guest artist next year selling my cuteness to adoring fans!
Harry and friends are all marker and ink (and glitter) on bristol sketch cards
(I'll update auction info when it becomes available)
I drew these the other day on my artcast. You can watch here Beck's Doodles there are a few covering the Harry cards so take a peek!
Mr.T do I need to say anything else? He's awesome. He's tough. He's covered in bling. And now he's a sketch card! I was commissioned to do Mr.T circa the A Team. I squealed and said holy crap yes yes yes I want to draw him all cute and stuff!! So here is...
The new owner is already super excited to get his hands on this and the E.T. for the last post. You can watch me draw this card on my artcast here: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/8274292
If you want anything draw super cute and maybe even with some glitter...email me and I'll draw you some awesome! [email protected] for all your cute commissions!
I started doing a live artcast a few weeks ago and really like it! Doing art in front of a camera and an audience makes me work a bit faster and actually a bit more efficiently. It's great to hear automatic feedback from fans and watchers about the project as I'm doing it. And of course if you've ordered a commission, you get to see it live! I've had fun and would like to continue doing a live artcast at least once a week. I've done more than one a week recently just to work out the "bugs" and get used to talking and working and of course learning all the "techie" stuff. Here is the E.T. sketch card I did today. The client asked for him "dressed like an old lady" like in the movie. I also have to draw "Mr. T for the same client...I've said it before...I'll draw ANYTHING!
here's the link to my first ever live artcast! Its a bit boring in the begining...unless you like wonky speaker feedback! but if you watch the whole thing...it rocks at the end! hehe
Thanks to those who made it to watch live! And stay tuned I'll be trying to do a weekly artcast full of cute kittens and sexy pinups!

Here's the cute LeeLoo i drew tonight for Jeff, he fixed my 360 so i drew him his very own cartoon pinup!
In these videos, Gabe Swarr shows how he creates his webcomic Big Pants Mouse using, first, Photoshop for his roughs, and then Flash for his final artwork. Note how Gabe pulls parts of his characters, pre-drawn, from a library of stock parts, but also mentions how he does this only when appropriate, and still draws poses from scratch when stock pieces don’t exist.

Watch Chris Piascik draw an improvised drawing from start to finish. Chris explains that these doodles start with him randomly scribbling out a loopy pattern and then filling it in. I’m quite impressed with the quality of production in this video; I’d love to see a whole series with all sorts of artists.

Bobby Chiu of Schoolism online art classes has started doing a regular series of streaming video evenings on Ustream called, obviously, CHIU-Stream. He talks and answers questions while drawing a topic chosen by viewers at the beginning of the show.
He also interviews famous atists on occasion. Here’s a recent interview Bobby did with character designer Stephen Silver:
The next artist interview will be with the great Peter de Sève tomorrow night, live, Wednesday Oct 7 at 11:30pm EST. He’ll be picking a topic to sketch or paint and then participants sketch that topic for the duration of the interview. Peter will then select a winner and that winner will get a Peter de Sève original drawing mailed to him/her. Check it all out on CHIU-Stream.

The Globe and Mail has posted a video of cartoonist Brian Gable creating today’s editorial cartoon. I never would have guessed that Gable was working digitally in Painter.

Very cool! Thanks for that.
A yellow mouse with big pants… hmmm…
Mousebob Bigpants?
Aside from that, I don't know that I'd exactly brag about reusing the same drawings over and over. That's just lazy. Not that more don't do it. I just don't think most would brag about it.
wowwww!! great,
Very interesting workflow. I'm curious to know what Gabe uses for his brush settings in Flash to get that nice line variation.
For one thing, if he's been drawing the same characters for 12 or 13 years that pre-dates Spongebob. And it's pretty clear how little he's actually reusing. Get off your horse.
