Sea Otter - She hunts for food for both of them and never will give up.

Chimpanzee - At evening she will place it in a "sleeping" nest.

November's theme is SLEEP. There's nothing like a sleeping baby or getting illustrations turned in for an upcoming book. This is from Baby on Board, by Marianne Berkes, published by Dawn Publications and illustrated by me, Cathy Morrison. Now it's time to get a little sleep.

This Land Is Your Land by Catherine Ciocchi, published by Arbordale Publishing, and illustrated by me, Cathy Morrison

December's theme is WINTER! So here's a wintery scene from This Land Is Your Land which came out early 2015. The author is Catherine Ciocchi and the book is about exploring the Earth with land forms.

A hill slopes up above the ground.

The rounded top looks like a mound.

Rolling hills are what you see

when they are in a group of three.

If You Love Honey by Martha Sullivan, illustrated by Cathy Morrison

August's word-of-the-month is "Picnic" and I just happened to have an image that relates. This book comes out in a couple of weeks and while I wouldn't say it was a picnic to illustrate it, I can say I totally enjoyed researching and illustrating it. The publisher is Dawn Publications!
