6. Illustration Friday: “Jump” 2

This week’s Illustration Friday’s prompt “Jump” lends itself to lots of ideas, so I might just use it as a warm-up for the week.

Below is an illustration where I played around with type and a painterly style.

7. Illustration Friday - Jump

I haven't posted an image for Illustration Friday for quite a while now but this illustration of mine fitted the theme so nicely I thought. Ink drawing with colour work done in Photoshop.

8. Jump

Playing Royal Leap Frog was always a little traumatic for the other players.  Artemis Amphibia, an avid Mel Brooks fan, simply shrugged and said…

When you get to the lampost picture, note that the other lamps aren’t yet on. The sun is setting, and I was able to capture it behind the unlit lamp. FUN! Filed under: writing for children Tagged: birds, jump, photography, sunset

12. Jump along to a Timeless Read Aloud!

Read It. Move It. Share It.
Each month I recommend a picture book for independent dance educator Maria Hanley to incorporate into her creative movement classes in New York. This is the sixth month of our collaboration. You can read about Maria’s experience with our June book—Jump, Frog, Jump!—over at her award-winning blog Maria’s Movers.

14. Value study

Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn

Coordinates: 40 41 N 73 59 W

Approximate length of tunnel: 2,000 feet (610 meters)
