4. Illustration Friday: acrobat

My submission for Illustration Friday's "acrobat" is a painting I have done many times in many ways for lots of peeps. This is a version I did to a song by Los Lobos :) You know the saying "once in a blue moon" which means seldom or rarely? Well this is a lavendar moon and that means as rare as it gets! The title of this painting is "Balance" which is required when you are an acrobat ;)

5. Acrobatic Changes

A healthy juggle.

A Little tidbit on the creation of this somewhat health conscious illustration…I was scrafin’ down a delicious hot dog with all the trimmings as I colored…hee hee

Another quick one for this week while I focus on doing a little revamp on the site. Progress has been slow but its comin’ along. Since the color scheme of the upcoming boutique is mainly black and white I had to keep the blog within the same color scheme…I dont know though. It’s looking a little too plain for me right now.

6. Illustration Friday: “Acrobat”

Well! More playing around with that…that fun, painterly style! Like I said, I never really know exactly where it’s going to go and/or how it’s going to turn out. This one just flowed though. And I like the results. I hope you do too. : )

Please check out the other entries at Illustration Friday. Many, many good ones to make you smile and other things!

And I was playing around with some illustrated type. Here’s a sample, below:

9. Illustration Friday - 'Acrobat'

This is my entry for this week's Illustration Friday topic of Acrobat. It's from a book I illustrated a few years ago for Brainwaves called Manic Math which was full of animals doing bizarre things to encourage children to practice adding and subtracting. It included a calculator gadget inside the back cover to help with the sums - very clever!

10. Illustration Friday : Acrobat

~He flew through the air with the greatest of ease~

I'm always thrilled when I find scrumptious scrapbooking paper to paint on like this wonderful piece from K&Company.
All I did was add my harlequin friend, the flying wonder.

Enjoy the weekend my friends!
