Realizing for some time now that weasels were quite underrepresented on my blog, I set off this morning to sketch one for SkADaMo. It also came to my attention today that the Illustration Friday theme this week was “stripes”.
I suppose I could have sketched a striped weasel, but opted for this snazzy t-shirt instead.
I feel good about the decision.
Oh, I also came up with my fourth PiBoIdMo idea early today!

Minnesota House majority leader Matt Dean has issued a halfhearted apology to fantasy author Neil Gaiman for calling him a “pencil-necked little weasel who stole $45,000 from the state of Minnesota.”
Earlier this week, Dean criticized Minnesota’s House Legacy Funding Division for paying Gaiman to appear at a speaking engagement.
Dean told Minnesota Public Radio: “[My mom] was very angry this morning and always taught me to not be a name caller. And I shouldn’t have done it, and I apologize.” Dean still insisted that the author should have “donated his time” to the patrons of the Stillwater Library.

Yep, the weasel is very underrated as a cute critter. I mean, how cute are they, with their wiggly lil bodies and squeaky voices? Add a striped t-shirt and fuggetaboudit!

How cute! Now that you mention it, he does seem to have a nautical if not pirate-like feel to him.
