Here are the first two pages of my 4-pager for the Slam Bang anthology. I also did a self-portrait for the book. Stay tuned!
The next theme for Slam Bang is Femme Fatales. My contribution will be The Hungry Housewives, with all the glitz and gore that suggests. Stay tuned as my 4 pager develops...
This time, the anthology will be in color... I have mixed feelings about that since the comic I have sketched is loaded with the cartoon violence one would expect. At least a toon is always less visceral looking even when horribly violent. Ask Goya...

Also, news for Slam Bang fans from Allen Freeman, architect of Fanatic Press: "Dan Burke takes over as editor/publisher of Slam Bang. Dan has been publishing fanzines since he was 12. His online websites are

Dan is an experienced pulisher and will continue to produce Slam Bang as the lowest level er ....I mean highest level..possible. SLAM BANG issue #47.

In honor of
12-Way with Cheese being released, I thought I would show how differently things started.
As I said, I have worked on this story concept for YEARS and could not get it to gel.
Below here is the first attempt...

After I kept sketching and working on the story, I realized the art was totally in the wrong direction. As a result, I worked on new more cartoony concepts as seen to the left here. I even had a whole manuscript with a different story I tossed.
This is the final result:
So, stay tuned now that the book is out for upcoming signings and events. There was even just an article about the book in CityBeat.
