Tonight in London, Pete Docter continued making the rounds to pick up every possible animation-related award for his smash hit "Inside Out."

"The LEGO Movie," "The Bigger Picture," and "Interstellar" won BAFTA Awards tonight.
The nominees for the 2015 BAFTA Film Awards, the British equivalent of the Academy Awards, were announced yesterday.
Will Anderson directed and animated The Making of Longbird as his graduation film at the Edinburgh College of Art. The fifteen-minute mockumentary-style short about a forgotten Russian cartoon character from 1911 was a hit on the festival circuit and culminated its run by winning the 2013 BAFTA, the British equivalent of the Academy Awards. One of Anderson’s writing collaborators on Longbird was Ainslie Henderson, whose own short I am Tom Moody has been a similarly big hit on the film festival circuit.

Award Season continues: The British Academy Awards were announced last night in London. Congratulations to Pixar for winning Best Animated Feature – and to Michael Please for The Eagleman Stag winning in Best Animated Short. Complete list of BAFTA winners here.
On a related note: Toy Story 3 also won a Grammy last night for “Best Score, Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media”. Congrats to Randy Newman for this win.
