Print designer Rachel Powell has launched her new collection ‘Happy Homeware’. Inspired by the playful nature of mid century design, Rachel’s best selling prints Woodstock, Yoko and Nelly combine to create a bright and bold capsule collection that can add a touch of retro style to any home. Products range from £10-£68, and include ceramics, tea towels and wallpaper which are all made in the UK.
It was through researching Tyra von Zweigbergk that I found out Korean company MMMG (millimeter milligram) had introduced the fifth version of their glass cups back in summer 2014. I was so pleased to see a designer we admire here on Print & Pattern achieving some lovely success recently with these Jane Foster mugs spotted for sale in Urban Outfitters. Jane has been designing and creating wonderful designs and vintage pieces from her Devon home for a number of years and it's great to see her illustrations moving into products.
Two designers at The Wise House have come to my attention lately - Megan Alice England and Catherine Colebrook. First we have textile home accessories which are designed, screen printed and sewn together by Megan. The collection currently includes unisex Make Up Bags and Plastic Bag Tidies. Megan Alice is a young designer whose fabrics are characterised by bold shapes in single bright colours.

When my We love to Illustrate newsletter arrived this month one project that really stood out were these beautiful mugs designed by Belinda Strong (little beehive). i love visiting the bhs home department to see whats new. the bright yellow bedlinen and citrus coloured homewares certainly blew away the cobwebs of the january sale and provided a fresh pop of colour for spring. here are a few snaps taken in store and at the top two lovely images of wall art and one of cushions from their handy online store.

as part of heals' woodland theme for AW 2012 they are stocking the entire line of magpie's birdy range. this includes mugs, plates, espresso sets, and tea towels featuring cute illustrations from the magpie design studio. birds and animals are the central theme for the heals woodland story which also featured wolves and foxes.
