One of my dearest friends, Leah, is blind. She is a Wake Tech student like myself and along with her, is her seeing-eye dog, Fletcher. He is the sweetest dog in the world and is very serious about protecting Leah. He is mostly very quiet and sweet, but Leah told me a story about one funny day in class. It was a 3 hour class, and Fletcher was waiting patiently by her feet, when suddenly he sighed the loudest, cutest doggie-sigh she had ever heard. He was so bored. It just goes to show that even dogs who are extensively trained to be considerate and polite, are still dogs :-). Fletcher has a wonderful personality and I know he and my friend Leah couldn't be happier.
