OMG! i love this series! when i read the new one was coming out!! i’m soo excited! I nearly screamed my head off! I was kind of dissapointed tho that Tally isnt the main character! but someone new..mm..could be interesting..lol! I called my friend immediatly and nearly killed her ear…whoops! But i’m so excited! I just knew it wouldnt end with Specials! Thank you for writing more! I cant wait! It better be as good as the first three!

My whole world has been so much more… “icy”, if you will, since I read the Uglies trilogy. I read them all over the last week of the Christmas holidays, along with a couple other books, which was considered a total waste of time by my fellow peers. It caused a large amount of them to sit there staring with their mouths open, attracting flies and bits of garbage and nasty caf food (courtesy of my fellow students). I don’t really mind, though, because the books were just that amazing. I can’t stop saying ‘bubbly’ and, when asked about how I did on a math test, I blurted out, “Bogus! I went totally brain-missing!”

I actually had a pretty wacko Specials dream, too. I won’t get into because it was sort of long and seriously messed up and I know you’ve got better things to do, but if you’re interested in on my livejournal.

Oh yes, and I’m pretty sure my English Media teacher loves you. I was finishing up Specials in class, and reading during a work period is usually a no-no (Ew, who says ‘no-no’?) but I figured I’d try to weasle my way out of getting into trouble. I told him about the surge and New Pretty Town and the next day he started asking me the names of the first two books and other books by you. He wants to see if he can get the trilogy into the curiculum, because of all of the media parallels and whatnot.

So, I’ll end this terribly long comment by saying I think it’s awesome that you’re writing an… extra… type… thingie. When I got to the end of Specials I debated never reading the last line, but curiosity got the better of me. So I’m seriously looking forward to Extras. I’m sure it’ll be bubbly.

Scott I wanna thank you for bringing your wonderful talent into the world I just love Sci-fi and compaired to you they are nothing Im so into the uglies series that im reading them again but not as fast this time there were a few things that i missed in the first time around I guess its because i read it so fast but that will all be salved once im finushed the second time around boy ive never read so much in my life. Uglies was a fantastic book. I was really overwealmed by it, i think that anyone who read this trilogy really changed teir own world and how they see it. Your story is a creative and somewhat true dilema that we face today in our own world. It’s good that readers can refer to our own world after reading a life-changing story. I enjoyed it very much and i’m glad theres an “extra”; it be interesting to know what happens to the world yet again as history repeats itself…

I had just finished reading Specials this morning, or evening, depending on how you look at it. I stayed up until 1:30 AM last night reading, and as soon as I woke up this morning, I picked it right back up. I finished at exactly 1:00 PM. I didn’t even brush my teeth or get out of bed before I started reading, I just picked it up, disturbing, I know. The trilogy is awesome. No. Beyond awesome. So awesome, awesome looks pathetic in comparison. [Spoiler] I almost cried when Zane died! I hope she doesn’t go back to David, it makes her seem… I don’t know… unfaithful I guess.[/Spoiler] I can’t wait until Extra’s comes out, these next few months will be torture. But until then, I’ll just have to look for your other books.

I am sooooo happy! I`ve read Uglies and Pretties and I`m in the middle of specials! My class had to read Uglies for a book report and there are only 3 copies of Pretties and 2 Specials in my whole school(including mine) so everyone wants to broow mine! Your books are really popular in the 6th-8th grade! It`s a long time to wait, but I`m sure it`s going to be great!

OMG!! Do you guys know how long it takes to read all of the posts on this board!?!?! FOREVER! Well, anyway! I absolutely LOVED Specials!!!! I almost burned the book when Zane (spoiler) “died”. Actually…. they never actually saw him die, he was just barely alive…maybe he recovers? OMG! YOU JUST BETTER MAKE A MOVIE OUT OF UGLIES/PRETTIES/SPECIALS/EXTRAS! (and if you do, I call dibs on acting as Tally-wa!) (lol like that would ever happen!) I have SO many friends who don’t read at all, and a movie would be absolutely PERFECT for them. YaY for EXTRAS also!
Really disappointed that Tally isn’t the center of attention anymore…. *tears*! But I’ll get over it…. eventually…..:(

And even though the so-called “New York Trilogy” was finished with The Last Days, Hunter should pop up again. Yeah I totally agree about the movie thing these books should TOTALLY be movies!!!! They would be AWESOME (especially getting to see Tally transform throughout the three movies…that would be soooo cool!) I got all the books a week ago and i read them 3 times each already…! I’m hooked. When i heard the news i was screaming and jumping up and down with my mom yelling at me to shut up. I can’t wait to get Extras!!! when i read that Zane died i literally sat on my bed and started crying…I couldn’t stop!
But about a half-an-hour later I started to read again and finished the book. I really wish Zane would get resurrected somehow…and run away with Tally. And i think that your books should be made into a movie… I would deffinetley audition for it.

hey… again, anyways, I was telling my mom about the first book, The Uglies, and she thought that she had heard the story before. So she didn’t let that one go for a while, and finaly came up with what it was and showed it to me. A real old movie, old for me atleast, made in 1974 i think is what she said. Logan’s Run. When she showed it to me I was totally BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!! It was totally UNCANY! I kept meeting people and realizing who they were comapared to the books. I’d be sitting there with my mom and shout out “THAT’S DAVID!” and “THAT ON IS DR. CALBE, THAT IT!” lots of things like that. Unfortunatly my favorite charcter, David, was turned into a 70 year old! 0_o! CA-RAZINESS!!! Well watev. I thought id share that since i thought it totally neat-o

i read all your books there all great thanks for writing these books there great for when your falling asleep during class and you cant because the teacher hates you so you read plus a real page turner i have gotten in trouble for reading your books during class but it worth it

ohmgeeh i just found out about the 4th book like a 10 minutes ago and i called everyone i knew to tell them about it[everyone is annoyed by me becuse i tell my friends,family,teachers about this wonderful book, and that i use the word bubbly instead of cool ]. im so happy that there is “extra” because when i finished specials i was happy about how it all ended. but it left a big hole of wondering my mind. i was also confused yet happy that everyone ended up some where where they were happy, but i was sad because they all ended up far away from each other. i am so going to get EXTRA the first day it is out. thank you scott for writing these books
