1. Bleah ...

This image sums up how I've felt these past few days. Late Sunday night I started getting a sore throat. Then the past two days I've been battling major head congestion. I've been using the MyPurMist steam inhaler that I blogged about here, and it does help. God only knows how awful I'd be feeling without it. Today I'm blessed with non-stop sneezing and watery eyes. Oh joy. Maybe, however, that means I'm on the mend. I sure hope so.

To top it off ... last night Denny jumped up on my bed and slashed my toe really bad. I wasn't under all of the covers. I just had a blanket over me, and apparently, my foot was sticking out. He didn't seem to make it up all the way, so he grabbed what he could to get up. That just happened to be my toe. I was asleep when he did it, and when I woke up, I was also groggy from the cold medicine. There was a lot of blood, but I was too zoned-out to realize how bad of a cut it was. I put a bandage on it and went back to bed. Looking at it closer this morning, I realize he sliced my middle toe all the way from top to bottom. No wonder it hurt so much every time I rolled over last night. I'll spare you the photo I took of it. I sent it to Rick just now, so he's probably sitting at some staff meeting getting all grossed out. That's just how I roll.

Poor Denny though ... he had a funny look on his face when I came out of the bathroom, so he must have figured something was wrong. I'm going to soak it in the tub for awhile, and then wrap it up a little better. Hopefully, I can function more today than I have these past few days.
