Just everyday stuff around me and my illustrations and my family and where I live
1. Little Queenie takes to the roads...coming your way??!

Finally I have found the time to unwrap and show you the 'Little Queenie' prints which I actually ordered a few weeks ago - it has just been too busy around here for me to sit down and think about putting them out there for you all to see.

The hot, tempestuous, flame haired Little Queenie is still cropping up around the globe on various sites. She's a well-travelled little minx, riding to all parts on her classic Norton, still not taking any b.s. from any other road users - beware the driver who pulls out in front of her, clips in too close, or indeed who selfishly and absent-mindedly flicks a burning cigarette butt out of their car window, LQ will let you know you did wrong, and maybe next time you'll think twice!!

So, prints were requested, and I was keen to see how she looked at various sizes. I was especially keen to look at an A1 size version. I did make the image large when I was working on it in the computer, and at a fine resolution, so I thought A1 would work, and it did - still crisp and clean!! Also, Ric, who does my prints for me, tells me 'it would go even bigger, Brett!!!', so who knows, maybe an A0 size one at some point!! Here is a snap shot detail of the A1 print as it was lying on the table. You can hopefully see that the lines are still crisp at that size......yes, will have to look at an A0 version!

In the end I ordered copies in A1, A2 and A3, and I have taken these photos to give you some idea of scale. In particular you can get a good idea from the glimpse of the bike in the background of this one.....the building of which is one of the reasons I haven't got around to doing this until now! It took me half an hour just to clear the table of carbs, rocker covers, battery, wires and boxes of 'stuff', which admittedly were getting out of hand, so it had to be done! (The bike should be finished next week, after which I shall concentrate on art!!!)

To help with getting an idea of scale I have also produced this table:

I have set the prices for the prints, which are  on 310gsm Fine Art Matt smooth high quality cotton rag paper using archival printing inks, signed and unmounted as follows:
A3: £30, A2: £52 and A1: £90, all plus p&p.
I am still aiming to get a proper shop page on my website (www.brettbreckon.com) - another thing on the 'to-do' list I'm afraid. But for now anyone interested in a print can contact me through the website....I am currently trying to figure out the postage costs, both within the UK and overseas, but, yes, do get in touch if you fancy hanging sassy Little Queenie on your wall, she is looking good I must say!

Oh, here's a shot of an A3 print in a commercially available A2 frame with A3 mount, just to show how presentable she looks :-)
