Hello lunch hour, meet my life saver.
Thank God for Kindles.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
One of the nurses came to my desk last Friday with her iPad to show me this video. I had a good laugh and after the day I was having, I needed it!!
Just what the doctor ordered. *wink*
(She had to bring up her iPad because work blocks YouTube videos – which I understand because once you start watching one, you get sucked into YouTube hell, but still – boo censorship).
Happy Tuesday, everyone.
So here’s a New Year’s Resolution suggestion – take control of your life. Move past your past, your regrets, your bad choices, and DO something about it. If you want a better life, then MAKE it happen. Take that first step. Clean house, both literally and figuratively. Get rid of distractions and bad influences, surround yourself with positive people and wholesome examples.
It won’t be easy. But anything in life worth having is not easily attainable.
And it’ll be worth it – so, SO worth it.
You’ll be happier. Those closest to you will be happier. You will feel strong and independent because YOU took charge of YOUR life.
Take control of your life. It’s time to stop spinning out of control.
It’s time to get off the carousel.
You know who you are.
I’m totally doing this.
If I can remember to buy a jar …
… and write something down …
… and then put it in the jar …
… and then pull them out New Year’s Eve and read them …
ACK! More pressure!
… and I’m still here.
I’m pretty sure I’m in it for the long haul.
Wow. We’ve come a long way, haven’t we?

Remember these guys?
They’re the ones who FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOMS. You know, the freedoms WE’RE THROWING AWAY SO WE CAN BE MORE DEPENDENT ON THE GOVERNMENT?
Yeah. Those guys.
Suddenly – it all seems real when you put a face on freedom, doesn’t it.
Happy Birthday, America. Please remember there is a silent majority of us that STILL believe in your fundamental freedoms. Please don’t give up on us.
As we celebrate our nation’s birthday this week, it is important to remember and teach our children the Founding Fathers were declaring our independence, not creating a culture of dependence.
Happy 4th of July to those of you who still choose to be independent of the government. You know who you are.—

The things we do for our children.
And not once, but TWICE. HA!
This is really all I have energy to do most weekdays now. But that doesn’t mean I’m not lurking somewhere in cyberspace. I’m still reading blogs, I’m still watching YouTube videos, and somewhere, in the damp, dark recesses of my mind, I’m plotting a post or two. Don’t worry. You haven’t gotten rid of me yet.

I mean, I hope you like me but if not … *shrug* … life goes on.
You can’t please everyone so don’t even beat yourself up trying. Just be yourself; how can you go wrong with that strategy?
I took a reading test and here are my results.
I could read War and Peace in 22 hours and 55 minutes given my reading speed.
That’s something I haven’t done in quite some time – read. I get home from work so mentally exhausted that THE LAST thing I want to do is tax my brain any more than I have to.
But I miss it. I really miss it.

Surely this is a joke?!?!?!?!?
Surely people are not this stupid?!?!?!?
Wow. Just wow.
… but how could you NOT love this pup??
(Look how the hair around his nose has been pushed back, as if he burrowed his nose into a hole or something and got it stuck. *squee!*)
Savor away.
I know it’s last minute, but check out these yummy St. Patrick’s food ideas …
It doesn’t take the luck of the Irish to make these St. Patty’s Day treats look so sweet — just a clever baking technique.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with these yummy shamrocks made from yogurt-covered pretzels.
Yes, there really is potato in this classic Irish treat, though you’d never know by tasting. Rolled in coconut, these mini spud-shaped sweets make a perfect St. Patrick’s Day dessert.
I know what you’re thinking, POTATO CANDY?!?! But dude, my mom used to make potato candy (sans the coconut) and it really IS pretty awesome. Try it!
