Yes, the rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated. But I'm back and I'm staying. I'm healthy and I have a regular work schedule so there's no reason not to keep this site running, even if I only get one illustration a week out of it. So, I'm going to make a few changes. Challenges will be the same but I'll also be posting tutorials, tips, downloads, and interviews. Yes, I will. This might be what Mary Poppins describes as "a pie crust promise. Easily made, easily broken." So, have your doubts, I'll just have to let time tell.

I was inspired by Josh Pincus and his abandoned post. It is sad that Monday Artday has been neglected lately. I think there is a need for another themed art spot like illustrationfriday. One that is smaller and more manageable. So lets keep it going until Mike is able to post themes again! We are all authors here. I picked Sad as this week's theme. So true. So spread the word among your art friends and post your own piece. Sniff.

On the surface it appears that my New Year's Resolution could be to eat more fish. But it actually is to do more fine art. I recently posted this piece on my blog for the illustration friday theme new. It is obviously old. It is dated and even sports my maiden name. But I had never posted it online before. Plus it is my New Year's Resolution. Get back to basics. My children's illustration portfolio is full. Do more art!
