1. Keeping The Faith!

As I said in earlier posts,  I know that God has called me to write Tall Girl, Big Faith. I know that God is going to use this work to encourage many teens in many different areas.  The book has been previewed not only in the US, but also in a few other countries, and it is my prayer that the book will reach teens world-wide who need to be uplifted and encouraged to keep the faith.

In Isaiah 55: 11 reads, “So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

I encourage all youth leaders, small group leaders, and parents to preview Tall Girl, Big Faith and prayerfully consider using it for your teens and tweens.

Also, you can follow me on twitter; I am VKpublishing.

2. The latest on Tall Girl, Big Faith!

Through facebook, scribd, authonomy.com and Amazon.com, I am getting lots of feedback on Tall Girl, Big Faith.  This is very exciting!  Many are wanting to know more about the book.  One question that I have been asked a lot is whether the book is intended for an individual read or a group study read.  Truthfully, as I was writing the book, I felt that the book should be intended for both, which is why I put the “Think About It” section at the end of each chapter.

With that  being said, I am patiently (not!) sitting back waiting to see what God has planned for me and Tall Girl, Big Faith.  I encourage all of you – teens, tweens, parents, youth ministers, youth group leaders – to go to Amazon.com and give the “Tall Girl” a preview.  I believe with all of my heart that you will love it!

3. Praise the Lord!

As always, I thank God for the opportunity to live this day!  I am extra excited today, as I am starting my blog about my new ministry.  I have entered the world of Christian literature!  I am thrilled to report that I have just finished my first novel for teens and tweens entitled, Tall Girl, Big Faith.

God has been faithful to encourage me over the past year while I struggled with this concept.    I have always had a heart for writing and always had tons of ideas floating around in my head, but I had never taken the next step – turning those ideas into stories for teens.  I know that God has called me to this new ministry; I don’t know what He has in store, but I know that Tall Girl, Big Faith was His idea, so it’s all good – no matter what.

My writing is for the following purposes:

1. To glorify God who has saved me through Jesus

2. Encourage teens and tweens to have faith.

3. Give teens and tweens something to read that is thought provoking and God-inspired.

I invite all of you to preview Tall Girl, Big Faith by visiting Amazon.com.  I encourage any of you who work with youth groups to consider using it as a group study. As well, the book is great for an individual read!
