2. Avalanche Software

It's about time I put these up here. This is the personal project I did while interning at Avalanche Disney. It began with the killer tree that's kindof octopus shaped and has spiny leaves. If I had the ability to animate this scene, those leaves would peel off and flap around like birds, attacking the player from the air. The stump would open up like octopus limbs and attack. Once defeated, it would release a magical seed that, when planted in the right place, would grow into a beautiful tree that protects and preserves.

Too much back story, you say? How can I help myself, this project was SO fun! And besides, characters that are bad because of the places they're planted in are pretty tragic figures.

It was especially fun making this level because I got to use Buzz Lightyear as my avatar, running around and jumping up the mushrooms. Jealous? You should be ;)

The full moon...
Cliche?
I suppose. Night skies just have such appeal.

I've been interning with Avalanche Disney and been doing a personal project on the side. Here's what I've got. :)

It's a killer tree that was cut down and burned, and is managing to grow back. The player would jump up the mushroom to get to and fight the little monster. I'm not sure what to surround it with, though...

Input, anyone?

This assignment dealt with cliches. In this painting, I was given the words "piggy bank" and told to develop a composition. In lieu of high gas prices during the summer and comments about "highway robbery," I figured people could relate to this rogue hog.
