I want to take a moment to thank everyone who is involved with me - As a part of Blooming Tree Press or otherwise - for your amazing patience as you wait for me to contact you and get work done for you. I have not forgotten about a single thing.
It has been a very bad winter physically for me and it has put me in a postion for the first time, in a long time, of not being able to get all my work done in a timely manner. It has frustrated me to no end.
But I finally feel the warm light summer coming back - along with my energy. I am ready to get down to business again. Feel very free to send me a reminder email if I have not done or said what I have promised.
It's good to be back in the game.

Hi All,
Well, it's time for another preview of our fall line. This time it's "Lorenzo and the Pirate" by Lila and Rick Guzmán.
Below find a preview of the cover, about the book as well as some very nice pre-publication endorsements.
Congrats Lila and Rick!
Miriam
It is 1779. Eighteen-year-old Lorenzo Bannister boards a pirate ship to give medical aid and amputates the captain’s leg to save his life. The British attack and sink the pirate ship, marooning Lorenzo and an amnesiac pirate on a deserted island.
Endorsed by Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico: "Skilled is the author who interweaves adventure and history into a rollicking yarn that teaches while it entertains. Lorenzo and the Pirate takes the young adult reader into the tangled times of the American Revolution, when Britain was at war with her rebelling colonies. The newest in a series of Lorenzo adventure books by Lila Guzman, Lorenzo and the Pirate will keep you captivated as history comes alive, through the exciting adventures of Lorenzo and his friends."
Mimi Lozano, Somos Primos, calls it: “a great adventure. Once again, the history of the time period was woven effortless into the background. I can’t wait for the sequel as Blackie’s unknown past unravels.
The book is entertaining historical fiction in a colonial era and place often overlooked by other authors. (Wesley Odom, President, Pensacola Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution)
Lorenzo and the Pirates is a stirring and thoroughly entertaining story that kept me turning the pages, wondering what would happen next. Lila Guzman integrates the historical setting and events into the story so naturally that one learns a great deal without even realizing it. The characters are engaging and realistic, and the plot has twists and turns that both young adult and adult readers will enjoy. Highly recommended! J. M. Hochstetler, author of the American Patriot Series (Daughter of Liberty, Native Son, and Wind of Spirit) and an a contemporary novel, One Holy Night
Lorenzo and the Pirate, the 4th novel in the Lorenzo series, joins:
Lorenzo’s Secret Mission (Book 1)
Finalist, Book of the Year (Young Adult Category), Foreward Magazine, 2001.
Finalist, Golden Spur Award (Texas State Reading Association), 2005
Lorenzo’s Revolutionary Quest (Book 2)
National TCARA Book Award, 2006
Lorenzo and the Turncoat (Book 3)
Arizona Authors 2006 Literary Award
