Creating pictures and writing stories has been Liz’s favorite thing to do ever since she was a little girl. Liz is a freelance illustrator creating children’s books, editorial illustration posters, cd covers, t-shirts designs and working for numerous magazines, newspapers, record companies and book publishers plus exhibiting and selling her paintings in various galleries.

Liz graduated with a BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art College and University of San Francisco in San Francisco, CA. After graduation she worked as an, artist, art director and creative director several multimedia and educational software companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Despite her professional success in digital media she never forgot her love of painting and illustration.


Her whimsical yet evocative illustration draws on inspirations from the Symbolist painting movement of the 19th century to Polish poster art. Expressionist literature and folk and fairy tales also greatly inspire her work. Liz has a highly personalized painting style, working primarily in acrylic paint she strives to evoke emotional reactions by the use of mood, lighting and color.

She lives in her tree house in the woods of Woodside, California with her husband, two children and an ever growing assortment of pets.
