I'm an author of 8 published middle-grade novels (10 counting the revised editions) and a "micro" publisher with 1-3 titles per year and five authors besides myself to date.

Children are my first love, and always have been. I have four of my own (all grown up) 8 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. They are each unique and precious, as are children everywhere in the world.

When I was a kid, I thought I'd own a horse ranch and raise and train horses for a living. I never quite made it, but next to horses, I loved horse stories, stories about children, and storytelling. All of the stories I've written were based on some child or young adult I knew or heard of and the dilemmas they faced—and in my stories—conquered. Kids tell me they love my stories because, they say, the character, "is just like me."

I'm interested in networking with other writers, publishers, teachers, librarians, students, and other members of Jacket Flap.
