The entire theme of the story allows children to relate to Bug in their own lives. It is a great lead-in for small group discussion within the classroom. The literary content is invaluable. The large print allows children to locate individual vocabulary words easily for meaning and understanding of content. Finally, the pattern of rhythm and rhymes may be set to a "clapping of syllables". Children would enjoy putting this to music. ~J.
