While he's probably better known for "The Book Thief," don't miss out on the tender toughness of this novel. A certain person I know who shall remain nameless (he's a guy) read it over the Atlantic on the way back from Ireland recently and had to keep wiping his eyes, it moved him so. Thank you, Bridget Zinn, for telling me about Zusak--and thank you Markus for writing such a tear-out-your-heart (in a good way) novel.
