It's a great introduction to the city of Cairo! Although when I read it to my 3rd graders in Cairo, so excited that we were finally reading a book set in Cairo, they stared at me in disbelief. They couldn't understand why I thought the story was so exciting. They could not relate to it at all! Which... more

I LOVE this story. I read it to my 4th graders every year when we studied the Nile River. I hope it inspires them to value their education a bit more.
