aileens said: The Secret of Smiley's Woods by Gailya Keller was an interesting read. On the positive side, the story concept and the characters rate five stars. The main character Sarah seems realistic as do her annoying older brother and cousin, and her fear of being lost in the woods is something with which children can relate. The illustrations also rate five stars. The adorable pictures made from paper cut outs made me smile. However, there were a few places where the grammar and sentence structure seemed a bit awkward. All in all, this work is a fine four star offering. tags: adventure, secrets, woods |
