M.KariBarr said: I checked out the book because I wanted to see samples of great opening lines and chapters. At first I was sure I would not even like the story...but it hooked me and I forgot all about my purpose in getting the book. It is written for YA audiences aged 12 and up can enjoy it. One thing I look for when searching for books to recommend to my own sons is decency. Many books aimed at teens devolve to swearing and sexual encounters and my sons are not interested in reading teen romance. This story does have a touch of romance as all good fairytales should, but it is respectful and simply about love and care. The main story is simply about Jaron and his adventures. Adventures that kept me up all night to finish the book. Sword fighting and intrigue...everything needed to keep interest for sure.
