The mother finally succumbs to death, mostly of an broken heart, but doctors diagnosed her with cancer of the celvic. Yet it's a written testimonry that fatherless/motherless children, through all their trials and tribulations, makes it as a family that pulls together when their father dies at age 42 and their mother dies 6 years later at age 48, leaving behind 3 very young children. Fascinating book on family history and their struggles!
