About Denise
Hi! I'm Denise Ortakales, a writer and illustrator of various things, but mostly children's books. My medium of choice for illustration is paper sculpture, but there's a small part of me that is yearning to go 2D (horrors!) I've also been writing an MG/YA novel this past year which has been great fun! But some one new has been whispering in my ear lately, so I had to turn off my eternal/internal editor and send that novel out the door. Phew! Now I can hear myself think. I'll be attending Kindling Words this coming January and looking forward to that.
