William Watkins was inspired to write, "Simon Says," after a family day out at an inner-city petting farm when William noticed another family going around with a crying child. The mother of the child seemed convinced that the child was afraid of the larger animals. `Simon Says,� shows what William imagined was actually going on. William also hopes that this book will introduce young children to all sorts of farm animals.
