His greatness was reared upon the cornerstone of a strong and pure character, and the young people of our day cannot do better than to study the life of the hero and model themselves on it. Teachers may use this book as a supplementary reader in the fourth grade, as care has been taken to introduce as few words as possible outside of the vocabulary of that grade. In preparing the work.
