The name was changed to Schaffer and Sons when Richard, the oldest son entered the business, followed by his brothers, David and Michael.
This is the story of the development of that business, it's promise, pitfalls and success, as the boys integrated into the business and the price that had to be paid by each of them and by their father, Stanley.
Told against the backdrop of the historical times and events of the years
between 1945 and 1990, it shows the evolution of retail business and how it affected the direction of Schaffer Jewelers.
