Picture Story book for children ages five to nine. The story of King Marcus, a great golden lion of much courage who guards his island against the fierce Gombolees with the Great Roar. Each time the Gombolees approach, the King's Great Roar thunders through the air, pulling from the bottom of the ocean great waves pushing back the fierce enemy. One day as King Marcus walked deep into the jungle his heart filed with happiness. He titled his head skyward, took a deep breath, opened the Royal jaws for an island-rocking roar. Only a soft "Ah" came out. Taking a bigger breath, spreading his jaws wider, pushing harder, he tried again. Where was the Great Roar? If it wasn't inside him, where was it? All day he searched frantically under rocks of turquoise, in coral caves, through the silver grasses, along the sandy beaches but not a roar to be found. Someone had stolen the Great Roar. Who would dare? Only the Wisest Owl knew but where was it?
