I have illustrated a number of educational books aimed at children, young people, parents and teachers. I have developed a simple contemporary visual language which enables the writer’s message to be clearly communicated. Alongside this I believe it is important to illustrate a diverse cultural environment and to represent all parts of the community in my work. I have had a long standing relationship with the FPA (Family Planning Association) illustrating the ground breaking series of books, ‘Talking Together…’ Written by Lesley Kerr-Edwards and Lorna Scott. "If young people with learning disabilities are going to have sexual relationships, it is essential that they learn about contraception. An important theme in the book is empowering the young person to make decisions about their own lives and giving them the necessary information to do this”.
