This title is the fourth in the popular "Hairy Mole the Pirate" adventures. In "Hairy Mole and the Pirate Olympics" Hairy Mole and his crew have entered a team in the One Hundred and First Pirate Olympic Games. Thanks to at least a couple of weeks hard stretching and a more than healthy supply of cabbage soup they feel ready to represent their home town of Littleton-on-Sea. However, if they think that winning the Pirate Olympic Cup is going to be plain sailing then they'll need to think again as from the Crow's Nest Challenge to Jumping the Nearly Dead Man's Chest, this year's events are going to be rougher and tougher than a ride on a hedgehog. One thing is for sure, with the likes of: Wee Gladys the Mad, Captain Bill Whiskers and the Pirate Pensioners competing for the trophy, there's going to be a whole lot of cheating going on! This is a great independent read for young new readers. The text is laid out with interesting fonts and styles and broken up with nearly 100 beautifully drawn black and white line drawings.
