Action, romance and the supernatural abound in Adrias. Adrias, a young Roman soldier, is left for dead by his father's assassins. His life is saved by Losrein, a member of a species unlike any other. Together they experience centuries of war, survival, and love. Adrias is the son of the senator who uncovers a plot to kill Caesar. The young soldier is left for dead when the senator's family is butchered. He is saved by Losrein, a shiner, which is a species of vampire that walks the earth in daylight and drinks only the blood of animals. Losrein turns Adrias into a shiner and they travel together, experiencing first-hand the wars and changes of the ancient world. Mid-18th century, they leave Portas, a haven for shiners. There, they meet Isabelle, the beautiful and exciting former baroness who captures Adrias' heart. The men move into her mansion near Paris. Years later, hearing that the Vatican has declared war against vampires and shiners. Losrein is called to Portas because the high council of vampires called a meeting to decide whether or not to declare war on the humans. Adrias and Isabelle remain behind at her estate. When Losrein returns Adrias and Losrein are attacked by the Vatican's vampire soldiers. . .and Isabelle along with Losrein is killed. In one moment he lost the love of his life and his dearest friend. Fast-forward: New York City, 1991. Adrias and another shiner named Ryan learn of a plan to attack a large concert, turn everyone into vampires, and unleash them on the city. Adrias helps Ryan stop the attack, but the price he finally pays is too high. Spanning the centuries, from Roman times to modern-day Manhattan, Adrias is a thrilling and gritty story about the supernatural, warfare, and love.
