A read-aloud book about Mahatma Gandhi illustrated by children. In Gandhi the Man, Ekanath Easwaran told how Mahatma Gandhi grew from a shy, ineffective child and youth to become one of the most influential religious and political figures of the century. V. Mylo Schaff wanted to share that story with children in her church school, so she broke Easwaran's biography down into a series of simplified narratives to read to her students. After each reading, the children made drawings depicting the various episodes. Our Gandhi combines the narratives and drawings, creating a vivid picture of the man and his achievements.
