Betty Kilgour's indomitable spirit rises above adversity once again. This time, the trouble was a little too close to home. A stroke left Betty partially paralyzed and wondering just how much more her life could possibly change. She and husband Bill had recently given up the life they'd always known at Crocus Coulee, and had moved into their new home in town. That was change enough, but now she had this challenge to deal with on top of it all. Betty isn't one to fold and there's not a thing in this world that can keep her down for long. She overcame obstacles, moved back home when professionals said that was unlikely to happen, and learned to adapt to a whole new way of being in the world. Too often, a stroke brings sadness, fear and confusion. While these feelings are perfectly normal, Betty reminds us that even the darkest days of despair can be overcome.
