What is Salvation? Is the second in a series of Christ-centered children's books that feature two cats, Sam and Bogart, as they explore various biblical principles and issues in life. This book has written in an effort to explain, in simplistic way, both the "what" and the "why" of salvation.

Every human being is born into this world with a sinful nature, separated from God. Reconciliation with God can only come through a perfect sacrifice. ("and without shedding of blood there is no remission." Hebrews 9:22) When Jesus died on the cross, He became that perfect sacrifice to pay for the sins of the entire world. Therefore salvation is a free gift from God, which cannot be earned. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

When we repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we accept the sacrifice for our sin and are ushered into a brand new life and relationship with the Father. Our sins are forgiven; we are washed clean and are given eternal life with God. Won't you accept God's free gift today?
