Summer vacation for James Richey is dull and boring-until he stumbles upon a portal to another world. Chalicu is full of giant wolves and hawks, talking animals, castles, caves, people living in gigantic trees, and a lot of mystery. What kind of excitement and danger will this new world bring him? He soon embarks on a journey to save both worlds. Using the clues in an ancient prophecy, he must find the Chalicu Stones and return them to their place of origin before it's too late. He soon realizes, after being given this responsibility, that the excitement he longed for is almost too much. He learns that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Or is it?
