Julienne Patsakos was born in 1976, one of seven children. By the age of eight, Julienne knew it was her fate to work with young children. Shortly after having her first daughter, Julienne pursued her bachelor of arts degree and graduated in June of 2000. Less than three months later, Julienne accepted a teaching position in an intermediate school. From her experiences working with those children, Julienne realized that her true passion was to write children's books. Her idea was to promote the many themes of phonemic awareness. Her books include rhyme, repetition, and/or word families to enhance learning during the reading. Julienne wishes to grasp young children's attention with the pleasant usage of phonemic awareness.
