The Gifts is a wonderful adventure fantasy for pre-teens and teens. It tells the story of Zak Fredrickson who begins having odd dreams. Then, one day a dream comes true. Suddenly, he finds himself kidnapped and taken to a mysterious island. On the island, he discovers he is not the only one who has been snatched from his home and is met by hundreds of kids of different ages and backgrounds. They are captives on the island-far away from everything they know and love. He must learn to trust his instincts and leadership by relying on his faith in God. Using the gifts they have all been given, Zak and the group work against the clock to save themselves, and the entire Christian community, from a terrible fate.
